what are early signs of menopause for women under 40?

I’m 371/2 and am suffering from some type of heat flash lately. Wondering if I’m starting menopause early.

It’s possible. Some women begin menopause as early as their late 30s. You can get your hormone levels checked by your doctor to be sure.

Are the systems really difficult to live with?

Most premenopausal women experience changes in their menstrual cycle. When estrogen levels begin to drop, the follicular phase of the cycle may be shortened, and this can shorten the total cycle from 28–30 days to 24–26 days, resulting in more frequent periods. On the other hand, some women begin having longer cycles because they are not ovulating as frequently. These changes can be quite different on an individual basis. Additionally, this declining/fluctuating estrogen level can produce a host of disturbing symptoms: hot flashes, increasing vaginal dryness, sleep problems, mood swings, breast tenderness and many other complications.

There is a relatively small number of women who hardly notice any changes before menopause. Their periods just stop overnight with few, if any, symptoms.

Another small percentage of women experience significant, dramatic symptoms that, when left untreated, ultimately lead to surgical intervention. Many women find at this time too many physicians strongly urging surgery and failing to provide information about the alternatives to, and consequences of, hysterectomy.

Is sweating at night a pregnancy symptom?

i used to sweat at night! alot! but my doctor told me its just my hormones. it stopped for 6 months now. and it came back this week. (( i just had a home pregnancy test, and got a verrrrrry thin faint positive line (vertical) on the clear blue brand.

i had intercourse 6 days ago. on my ovulation date.
so?!? i dont know? could i be preg? is it a symptom?

Sweating itself is not necessarily a symptom. But when you are pregnant, your body is like an incubator, and you will get a lot of hot flashes and get overheated easily.

BTW, a faint positive is still a positive. It sounds like you are pregnant. But it’s doubtful that a HPT would pick up on HCG hormones after only 6 days. You might be further along than you thought.

Congratulations to you.

I have always been a very loving and easy going person. But since I have started through the change of life, I find myself getting mad about just about anything. You can look at me wrong and I fly off the handle. And I don’t like myself very much after I have one of my fits. My doctor has suggested an anti-depressant, but I don’t want to have to take medicine to feel better. Plus the stuff is very expensive. Thanks everyone who replies. Have a great night all.

3. For help with depression, spend about an hour outdoors everyday, rain or shine. Your bedroom should be so dark when you sleep that you cannot see your hand in front of your face. This helps create endorphins and the other hormone (can’t think of the name) that affect depression.

I recommend that you do not rule out anti-depressants altogether. There are some good ones on the market and your doctor will find the right one for you. It takes about seven weeks to "kick in" and your doctor may have to "tweek" the dosage. I’ve taken them for years for clinical depression and have experienced no side effects.

Peach to you and grace,
Amaleota

P.S. Service to others is a good way to cheer you up, even if it’s only a smile or opening a door for someone.

I am only 24 and I get hot flashes during my period every month. Is this normal? I am on orthro evera( the patch) I know it is bad for you but could this be the cause?

Yes it is normal to get hot flashes, I get them a lot when I am
on my period.
If you don’t normally get them then yes the patch could have something to do with the hot flashes.
But more then likely it’s your period.
