well, it may not be a proven fact that tool fans are smarter, but judging by the concerts I have attended. The diversity in the crowd is incredible, and the number one rule in adaptation is diversity. Tool has connected and introduced a new level of thinking. The enigma that is tool if dug deep enough will prove to be helpful after all. The style used to create a tool song is like classical music, and that was proven to increase attention span and induced euphoria which helped open your mind.
